About this trip

Our 3rd Annual Trails of Florida (ToFLA) Tour

We love the flexibility this ride offers. Living up to its name, we simply aim to show you some of the great Trails of Florida (ToFLA) over five riding days.

For 2027 we've made several exciting improvements. The tour now kicks off in the Orlando area, with Day 1 featuring the newly added Lake Monroe Loop and the Spring-to-Spring Trail. Pampering awards you with three nights at the new Hilton Garden Inn Apopka to get our tour started!

This unique cycling vacation takes you exclusively along some of our favorite bike trails in Florida. As a national leader in bike path development, Florida offers scenic, traffic-free routes that showcase the state’s hidden natural beauty.

Tour Overview

This five-day ride assembles in Apopka and we will overnight here for the first three nights. Over the week we head west and finish at the Crews Lake Wilderness Park to end the Friday ride.

The first two riding days highlight the Lake Monroe and Lake Apopka Loops. Next we head west and into the interior where we ride the full Withlacoochee and Van Fleet Trails. Lastly we ride out of Ridge Manor and meander down Good Neighbor and Sun Coast Trails ending in Crews Lake Wilderness Park on Friday.

The full package includes five nights of accommodations (Sunday through Thursday), with all breakfasts and dinners provided. This is a quasi-hub tour, meaning we’ll only change hotels once during the trip to help keep things easy and comfortable.

Tour Details

The tour assembles in Apopka, Florida, on Sunday, February 7th. Throughout the week, some shuttling is required. After the final ride on Friday, participants will be transported back to the host hotel in Apopka.

Lake Apopka Loop

Bike 57 Miles

The riding day starts from the hotel in Apopka, connecting to the West Orange Trail and continuing onto a great new addition to the week: the Lake Apoka Loop. The trail was fully connected in early 2026, and we have long hoped to make this trail a full day ride, now that opportunity has arrived!

Some segments near the lake feature unpaved, soft gravel surfaces. Many ride this on standard road tires; however we advocate for wider tires for greater comfort and stability. For the best experience, we recommend using tires with a minimum width of 28mm.
