Start your ride atop Snoqualmie Pass in the majestic Cascades. Descend along a rail trail beneath towering evergreens, passing through a long railroad tunnel that opens to spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Cross impressive railroad trestles and finish at the awe-inspiring Snoqualmie Falls, where a 268-foot waterfall plunges from a rugged cliff into a misty pool below, creating a thunderous roar, it’s quite a spectacle.
We’ll depart the Snoqualmie Inn and return to complete the other half of the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. One of the day’s highlights is the Tokul Trestle, one of the Pacific Northwest’s most impressive rail-trail bridges. Spanning a deep, forested ravine, it's the kind of crossing that invites you to stop, take it all in and snap a few photos.
After reaching the trail's northern terminus in Duvall, we’ll shuttle over to Marymoor Park and set off on a memorable urban ride. The route takes us through Microsoft's campus, across the world's longest floating bridge to a close-up view of Husky Stadium and the University of Washington before jumping onto Seattle’s famous Burke-Gilman Trail.
Our ride concludes in Bothell, where we’ll settle in for the first of two nights at the unique McMenamins Anderson School. Once a junior high school, this beautifully restored property now features comfortable accommodations, restaurants, pubs, gardens, and plenty of character. After a rewarding day in the saddle, it’s the perfect place to relax, celebrate, and enjoy a delicious dinner together.
Cycle from downtown Snohomish on a paved trail tracing the old Seattle, Lake Shore, and Eastern Railway. This scenic 30-mile stretch showcases rural Washington, passing through the charming city of Arlington on the way to the historic Nakashima Barn. Enjoy an out-and-back ride for a full 60-mile adventure.
Start your day by heading south into Seattle on the Rail Trail Hall of Fame’s Burke-Gilman Trail. Ride through the University of Washington, enjoy stunning views of Seattle from Gasworks Park, snap a photo with the Fremont Troll, cross the Ballard Locks, and take in breathtaking views from Magnolia. Finish your ride along Puget Sound on the Elliott Bay Trail into downtown Seattle. Make a quick visit to the Olympic Sculpture Garden before settling into your overwater room at The Edgewater Hotel, the highlight of the week. After settling in, we’ll explore Seattle’s rejuvenated waterfront, tour Pike Place Market, and enjoy a group dinner to reminisce on the fun-filled day.
On our final day, you can choose how to wrap up your Summit to Sound experience. Take it easy and explore Seattle or enjoy one more day of scenic cycling.

Spend a relaxed morning at our luxurious waterfront hotel and take in a few last sights before checkout. We’ll visit some of Seattle’s most iconic attractions. Start your day at Pike Place Market before the crowds arrive, stroll through the Seattle Aquarium, or explore Seattle Center. There, you can ascend the Space Needle and experience the captivating Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit.
Option 2: Optional Ride
If you prefer to end your trip on two wheels, join us for one final ride. We’ll depart from the Seattle waterfront and cross Lake Washington by bridge to reach the Mercer Island Loop. This scenic, cyclist-friendly route is a local favorite known for its rolling hills, winding turns, and beautiful views. After completing the loop, we’ll continue into Bellevue and ride south along the east side of Lake Washington, another well-loved route among area cyclists.
