Our rendezvous point is Frisco, CO, a delightful Rocky Mountain town, merely 90 minutes from Denver. Leave your car at the host hotel for the week and we’ll bring you, your bike and luggage back to be reunited by noon Saturday Aug 31. Bike trails near our host hotel offer a fun warm up and helpful acclimatization day.
Begin your biking adventure with a scenic loop around beautiful Dillon Reservoir. The 31-mile option includes mesmerizing vistas from Sapphire Point Overlook and an optional spur to Breckenridge. Alternatively, keep your legs fresh for Vail Pass the next day and limit to 16 miles by cycling to Swan Mountain Road and back.
Get your altitude on as you conquer the spectacular Vail Pass, pedaling through the charming town of Vail before reaching Avon, covering a total distance of 41 miles. At the end of the day you’ll be rewarded with a delicious dinner at the Northside Kitchen.
Embark on the longest leg of your journey, spanning 53 miles from Avon to Glenwood Springs. Experience the magic of the Glenwood Canyon trail as you ride along the Colorado River, culminating in a warm welcome dinner on the outdoor patio of the historic Hotel Colorado, your sanctuary for the next three nights.
Thursday you will enjoy an optional riding day in Glenwood Springs where if you prefer a day out of the saddle you can white-water raft the Colorado River or relax in the world's largest naturally heated hot spring pool, or maybe both. After all, it’s your vacation.
Conclude your adventure with a picturesque journey to and/or from the upscale haven of Aspen, offering a taste of summer luxury in this renowned ski resort town. Choose between a 44-mile downhill route from Aspen or an 86-mile round trip with a challenging ascent—either way, the choice is yours.
On the final morning you'll be treated to a farewell breakfast at the Hotel Colorado. After breakfast we'll transport you, your bikes and luggage back to our starting point in Frisco. Plan to be back in Frisco before noon where you can either depart for home or extend your Rocky Mountain vacation.
